These requirements ensure proper installation, care, and maintenance of all GalvStone products, keeping your warranty valid and your surfaces performing as intended.
Product Registration
To activate your warranty, customers must:
- Register their product online within 30 days of installation.
- Provide proof of purchase, the installation date, the product type, and the installer’s information.
- Confirmation email activating your warranty.
Approved Installation Standards
All GalvStone products—porcelain tables, marble tables, vanities, sinks, and Holden Deck & Dock systems—installation must follow the following guidelines:
Professional Installation
- A qualified professional with experience must install the specific product category.
- DIY installations may void certain warranty protections.
Installation Guidelines
- Product installation must follow GalvStone’s official installation instructions, including frame requirements, support placement, leveling, anchoring, and recommended adhesives/fasteners.
- Improper structural support, off-spec framing, or modification of product components voids the warranty.
Deck & Dock Systems
- Installation of Holden systems must use GalvStone’s approved hot-dipped galvanized steel framing or GalvStone-certified powder-coated frames. Cannot use materials from other manufacturers.
- Spans, joist spacing, post placement, and attachment methods must comply with GalvStone engineered specifications.
- Must comply with local building codes and environmental regulations.
Proper Use & Care
Porcelain Surfaces
- Clean with only mild, non-abrasive cleaners.
- Avoid impact damage from heavy or sharp objects.
- Do not apply aftermarket coatings or sealants.
Marble Products
- Use a pH-neutral cleaner; avoid acids or harsh chemicals.
- We recommend that you professionally seal your Marble upon installation and reseal it as needed.
- Damage from etching, staining, or the use of improper cleaners is not covered.
Vanities & Sinks
- Ensure proper anchoring to studs or appropriate structural support.
- A licensed plumber must install plumbing connections.
- Water damage due to leaks or improper sealing is not covered.
Deck & Dock Systems
- Follow GalvStone’s recommended maintenance schedule, including inspections every 1–2 years.
- Do not exceed load ratings or modify the frame configuration.
- Ensure proper drainage around posts and supports.
Exclusions & Non-Covered Conditions
Your warranty will not cover:
- Damage caused by incorrect installation or failure to follow guidelines.
- Natural stone characteristics (marble veining, variations, patina).
- Improper cleaning agents, sealants, or surface treatments.
- Abuse, impact damage, burns, vandalism, accidents, or acts of nature (flood, fire, tornado, hurricane, unless installed to code).
- Alterations, modifications, or use of non-GalvStone parts.
- Normal wear and tear.
Warranty Claims Process
To submit a claim:
- Register your product if you haven’t already.
- Complete the online Warranty Claim Form.
- Include photos, a description of the issue, and installation documentation.
- GalvStone will review the claim within 10 business days and determine a resolution, which may include:
- Repair
- Replacement of the defective part
- Providing additional components
- A product credit
Installation labor is not covered unless otherwise stated in writing.
Transfer of Warranty
- The 50-Year Structural Warranty on Holden Deck & Dock systems is transferable to a subsequent homeowner.
- The transfer must be completed within 60 days of the property sale using the official Warranty Transfer Form.
